The Mirror Legacy

This is a unique novel, and I believe that the author did not expect the novel to become so popular, and was writing for himself after getting tired of the common tropes of Xianxia novels. A genealogy would probably be helpful to keep track of the many scions of the Li family as they grow. The story takes a while to get going, and because I was enjoying the story so much, I went to Qidian and began listening to the Chinese audio book (I can understand Chinese, but my reading is much slower than reading English). The world becomes much more expansive and much more scary and complicated, and you really get the feeling that becoming an immortal is a death-defying process, with much sacrifice needed to succeed. . . oftentimes, the sacrifices of innocent bystanders and lower level cultivators. Also, while the beginning feels like a cozy fantasy story, there is a rise and fall to the story, where certain sections are filled with great pathos and tragedy, others are filled with tension and excitement. I'm excited to see where the author will take the story. The characters live and breathe and are unique, and it is fascinating to see all the different kinds of personalities that spring from the same family, each being unique, while also being stamped with clear family values from the founding father of the story.

One of the best novels I’ve ever read rivaling the greats like LOTM. Peak world building. Unique take on cultivation. Don’t even compare this amazing novel to trash like martial peak.

As far as cultivation novels go this is among the top 3 I have ever read the characters have personally, loyalty, emotion that you normally can't find in this type of novel highly recommend 8. 9/10

This book is amazing. It is dark, complicated, and every event has layers which we are discovering with time. It even has regression motives there! I especially like taunting other harem protagonist books there.

This novel is very underrated. I repeat This Novel is very underrated. One of the hidden gems of this site. The story sometimes takes emotional turns and sometimes philosophical. Hence only one thing from me, keep an open mind. ENJOY.

This novel has everything I love about a good cultivation story. The worldbuilding takes its time, making each detail feel real, and the cast of characters is smart and diverse, with personalities that stick with you. Furthermore, the politics, character's philosophy, and personalities are interwoven beautifully within a comprehensive power system(I won't elaborate any further, just read it). Personally, the realistic nature of the characters and the cruelty of the world bring a perfect balance of tragedy for me. I still can't forget it till now. Overall, this is not a hidden gem but a hidden gemstone quarry and I believe anyone who reads cultivation novels would enjoy this thoroughly.
