The first two arcs of the series were absolutely amazing—I would easily rate them 9. 5/10. In particular, the Cube arc was the peak of the story for me, nearly flawless, and deserving of a 9. 8/10. This arc excelled in character development, the sense of competition, and the intensity of the plot. The protagonist’s systematic growth, the meaningful impact of side characters, and the well-executed academy setting made it incredibly engaging. However, after these two arcs, the story noticeably declined. The biggest issue was the gradual weakening of character development, which had been well-structured in the beginning. The protagonist, who initially demonstrated intelligence and strategic thinking, became less compelling as the narrative grew more disorganized. The story started to disregard its previously established logic, and the plot began to feel increasingly rushed. As a result, the ending was a major disappointment. It failed to provide satisfying resolutions to key plotlines and left several character arcs unfinished or poorly concluded. Despite its shortcomings, I still consider this series worth reading and would rate it a 7/10 overall. If I exclude the Orden arc, my rating would be 8/10. The Orden arc, however, was the worst part of the series for me. The biggest flaw of this arc was the disruption of pacing and the diminishing influence of the protagonist. The storyline during this segment felt unnecessarily stretched out and riddled with logical inconsistencies. Furthermore, side characters lost much of their depth, and many significant events became too predictable. It almost seemed as if the author was forcing the story forward just for the sake of wrapping it up. In conclusion, for a reader who starts the series with high expectations, the early arcs provide an incredible experience, but the later sections suffer from a noticeable drop in quality. However, the Cube arc and the early parts are so well-crafted that they still make the series worth reading.

Overall a great novel, would recommend reading. Author got a bit lost in the second half of the story, but the ending somehow fixed it. Side stories are also worth the read. I would say it's a solid 7, 5/10.

First finished web novel. And I gotta say this is not the best and probably won't be near the best as I continue my journey into more web novels, but it will forever change me and my perception of other web novels. It does this because (purely my opinion) the start of the novel was slightly painful to read(chapters 1~10ish) only because it seemed to have a lack of description for characters and surroundings but as the story progresses the descriptions seem to get way better. So don't give up until you atleast get to around chapter 100~. Also if I had to recommend any web novel this is probably one of my go 2's since it's a great balance between a good and peak web novel imo. (Also starting with peak web novels ruins the other great novels that can't compare) Side note: The misunderstandings and some comments I've seen are possibly the funniest things I've seen. Finished date: 03/25/2025

My opinion: I like this story very much. -Positive points- Relatable MC: MC not doing too stupid/crazy things and his line of thought can be followed through with emotion or logic Side characters development: literally everyone (except suho) gets an emotional background development Emotional writing: All of them, especially later half of cube arc can literally make a grown man cry. Comedic writing: Jokes in this stories can make you laugh out loud in public (Ex. A certain running gag about money getting stolen of a certain person or Overthinking MC actions of a certain female lead) Magic systems and abilities: Balanced and not too overpowered. MC utilization of abilities is fully shown. Side stories: Complement main stories fully (Side notes: Chae Nayun sides stories ending could’ve been better but I couldn’t ask for more. ) BONUS POINT -> Evandel: Basically MC family and she’s very good -Negative points- the Last arc and Ending: A bit rushed, dull and repetitive but respectable. MC relationship: ‘a bit’ too dense but since it comes from existential crisis, it’s kinda OK. Timeline: It could potentially be bigger and go into more detail. If I have to summarize everything into 1 sentence for this review, it will be “You might attempt to drop this story but you should continue reading since the side stories will complement the story fully creating a gem”

Just decent overall, it had it's good parts and bad but in general just couldnt find a reason to call it amazing, I do think its better than the average transported into book/game but definitely had potential to be better

Its a great read, the chara development and the story was good up until the pre-climax. It went downhill from there. Even the final romance interest was absurd tbh. The sub-stories or the bonus stories are feel good stories. Less on action and more on romance/other routes. If the climax could be re-written or something, we'd have a masterpiece on our hands.

We can say it’s a novel that started an era. While many contradictions and mistakes stand out, and the ending wasn’t entirely satisfying (by the way, I don’t mean it ended badly, I just think it could have been more), it was still a good novel. Especially the dialogues between certain characters made me smile countless times. It’s not too long, and I definitely recommend it to those interested in this genre. After all, there are many novels in this genre, but not many that were written this long ago.

Incredible world building and the characters are very good. This was my first novel i read and it remains my favourite. The mc is a real one as well.

same man, same

I already read this novel and i can say that the first arc until middle end arc is very good 95/100 for Cube arc and 87/100 for everything else. The only problem with me is that the final arc and the "main" ending is so bad, like wtf it went from peak to mid. Atleast the side story is good tho, i will pretend that the "main" ending doesnt exist and pretend that chae nayun side story is the Canon ending :( .

This is my 3rd time rereading it (side stories came out) and I feel that it is is a really amazing novel especially the way the writer convey the emotions felt by the characters to you. It really made me feel immersed in reading and very enjoyable read. Just a short review about why I enjoyed the novel, although the end can be a bit disappointing in the way they wrote it it wasn't entirely bad
Couldn’t agree more
